Course Description
This course will enable you to identify the symptoms of fibromyalgia, a condition as baffling and elusive to doctors as Bigfoot is to park rangers. You will become familiar with the areas of the body involved and the theoretical causes of the disease, as well as some useful information on the effectiveness of massage therapy that you can use to market your services to a population that can genuinely benefit from it.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the massage practitioner should be able to:

  • Identify neurological abnormalities associated with fibromyalgia.
  • Identify two primary symptoms of fibromyalgia.
  • Discuss treatment options for people with fibromyalgia.
