This course is an in-depth study of human trafficking, with an emphasis on identifying it in the massage industry and the necessary steps to report it to the proper authorities.  It also includes a detailed section for identifying victims and steps a victim of trafficking can take to get out of their situation safely as possible.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the massage practitioner should be able to:

  • Identify the steps that a massage therapist can take to report suspected Human Trafficking.
  • List the Red Flags of Trafficking in the massage industry.
  • Differentiate between labor trafficking and sex trafficking.
  • Differentiate between people smuggling and human trafficking.
  • List the resources available in Florida to provide immediate help (shelter, food, and legal counsel) to Trafficking victims.
