This course will introduce you to the concept of continuity of care, a health care philosophy and practice that emphasizes interdisciplinary referrals and appropriate client transfer practices.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the massage practitioner should be able to:

  • Define the term continuity of care as it applies to massage therapy.
  • Describe the importance of SOAP notes in the continuity of care.
  • Identify the measures that can be taken to provide client care during a practitioner’s absence.
