Course Description
The goal of this program is to provide massage practitioners with information about the manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus. It is my hope that through this course you will feel confident in offering your services to people with this condition, and in so doing raise the quality of their lives somewhat.

Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the massage practitioner should be able to:

  • Describe the different types of lupus.
  • Identify the symptoms of systemic lupus.
  • List the effects of lupus on the body.
  • Describe what lupus-related conditions contraindicate massage.

This course is presented for educational purposes only. It was developed and marketed specifically for massage therapists that are required to obtain continuing education hours for licensing purposes. The author is not giving medical, legal or other professional advice.

This course is classified as “Cognitive” learning, meaning that there is no “hands-on” portion.

12 Hour Daily Limit
Please be advised that our school limits our students to 12 hours of continuing education per day (four of our 3-hour courses). So if you need 36 hours of continuing education be prepared to space it out over three days.
