Course Description
This course will enable you to identify symptoms and know the different modes of HIV prevention, transmission, and treatment. Ethical issues facing massage therapists and testing procedures and results are covered. Upon completion of the course, you will have specific knowledge for implementing infection control procedures in the massage therapy setting so that you are able to provide the necessary care for clients.

Upon completion of this home study continuing education course, the massage practitioner should be able to:

  • Define the terms HIV and Aids.
  • List the modes of transmission of HIV.
  • Describe infection control procedures.
